Had I known...

A few years back as I was just starting scrapbooking I read an article about using sequins in your paper crafting. Back in those days, sequins were so outdated, old fashioned and, well, blahhh that I was gobsmacked by how that person had been able to integrate them to their layouts. Still, this didn't make me run for my nearest craft shop and it was at least an other 4 years before I actually considered using the little piece of shiny plastic in my designs.
Paper crafting is a lot about what is "in" and as soon as we see the big names using a new product or medium we have to have it for ourselves, but then, once it has been purchased and used a couple of times at most, it stays on a shelf or a in a box... Where am I going with this I hear you say... Well, in the last year or so two of the big trends we have seen are sequins and chevrons. They are everywhere. And to help you put a dent in that stash of yours or simply come-up with some fresh ideas, at CAS-ual Fridays we have decided to challenge you to use those two ingredients!

And the challenge is sponsored by:

Want to see how I have put my stash to good use? Well, there it is:

I loooove the blue/ black/ red/ white combo and I wanted to stick to something graphic. I am really pleased with the result!
I hope this inspired you and I can't wait to see what you come up with when you join us at CAS-ual Fridays!!!
