Les feuilles mortes...

This famous french song by Yves Montant (translated "the dead leaves" or autumn leaves) came into my head as I was looking for a title for this post. What more fitting than those lyrics to announce the new theme for this weeks CAS-ual Fridays challenge!

So it is pretty straight forward,  we challenge you to use at least one leaf and some fall colours on your clean and simple project.

And this week the challenge is sponsored by Simon Says stamps!!! How cool is that?!

And here is my take:

Oh I like a good burst of colours and contrast!!! I used the gorgeous Kaisercraft flowers in Fire Red and Sunset. I also used one of the new Kaisercraft stamps for the sentiment and the leaves are from Waltzing Mouse Stamps. My background was very simply created with splashes of Distress stains in Fired Brick, Mustard Seed and Spiced Marmalade alongside a strip of washi tape.

So I hope this inspired you and that you will be joining the fun at CAS-ual Fridays! Can't wait to see you there!

Emilie, I am so happy you are now on the CAS-ual Fridays DT. That is how I found your blog and I am completely blown away by your style! Your sense of design and color contrasts drew me to your blog. I am also following on Pinterest and I hope you don't mind if I CASE one or a thousand of your cards! :D they are all gorgeous and as a new student of CAS I am thrilled to have found your site! Thanks a million for new inspiration!

This is just such a stunning effect Eimilie. How do you get your distress stains to splatter on your page like that?
