Wednesday Inspiration

Welcome back to another episode of my Wednesday Inspiration!

Let's start:

Have you guessed? Yes this week I took my inspiration from doilies! And here is my layout:

Well, actually, this was how I first ended this layout but I just didn't love it! I liked it, but it didn't have that "oomph" that made me want to share it with you! So I left it to mature for about to week and went back to it with fresh eyes and finished it this way:

You might not see the difference (appart from being a better quality picture of it...) but I added the little bird next to my title and the pink star at the top right to balance the arrow at the bottom left, I circle the photo with a black pen to make it pop more, I added the date at the top right corner to balance my journalling as well as some extra confetti and to finish it off I added the green "bunting" in the bottom corner as well as the green heart to balance the green "bunting" at the top right corner of the layout. Really, all this layout need was balance! I am much happier with it now! I hope you like it too!

It is amazing the difference just a few tweaks can make to a layout, isn't it? Gorgeous!

As Pam said, sometimes it's just a few bits that make a difference. It's knowing what to add that is the hardest part for me.

Perfect harmony now restored! The little red bird is a lovely finishing touch to the title.

I like that - "leave it to mature". I do this a lot, but your phrase makes it sound classy and intentional, rather than clueless!

This is gorgeous, Did you paint over the doily paper? I have that set of papers and love that sheet but felt it was a bit bright

Its funny how sometimes when you leave a layout and come back to it you just see straight away where a little addition could make all the difference
