Welcome to my first instalment of Friday Tutorial! I am very excited about this! Every Friday I will share with you a project and detail some or all of the steps that got me to the finished result.
Now for the step by step:
1: Here are the shades of inks I have used but feel free to use your own colours.
2: On a craft sheet rub your two shades of distress stain (or of water based ink pad then dilute it with some drops of water).
3: Rub only the bottom left corner of your card into the drops of colour then dry it with a heat gun.
4: This is what you are looking for but it is all about not controlling the final image and going along with what you get!
5: On the bottom and the left side of the card lightly rub some distress ink. I used the Tea Dye shade.
6: Sprinkle some black ink over the card.
7: Ink just half of a background stamp with black ink in a diagonal way and then stamp it onto the card.
8: This is what you are looking for: stamping over the coloured background.
9: I used bits of papers I had left over from years and years of accumulated offcuts. Place them around the card until you are satisfied with their placements.
10: Once you know where everything go, glue them one by one on the card drawing a black line around each piece with a black pen.
And here is the final result:
I added a few flowers in the corner and that was it! I hope this inspired you!
