Stamp Only Layout with Merly Impressions.

I have been overwhelmed by the positive response to my first "Stamp Only Layout" for Merly Impressions! Thank you all so much for your positive feedbacks!
I am very pleased to be back with a brand new one and a new step-by-step to share with you! This month I will show you a very simple, quick and fool proof technique to create your own colourful patterned paper. Ready? Here we go!

Step 1: Rub some light Distress Stain all over your paper. Here I used the Antique Linen shade. This will give a bit of a worn look to your colours.
Step 2: On your Non Stick Craft Sheet, rub two shades of water based ink pads. I used the Faded Jeans and Peeled Paint shades from the Distress Ink pads range. Then sprinkle or spray some water over it. I love this colour combo! So jazzy!
Step 3: Rub your paper onto your craft sheet ( coloured side face down) until most of it is covered with your bright ink. If you miss a few spots it doesn't matter as we will sort them out later.
Step 4: With your heat gun ( or hair dryer), dry your sheet fully.
Step 5: With your Ink Blender rub some Tea Dye Shade ink on the edges of your paper and onto those spots that were left uncoloured. I love this step as it adds a bright but yet vintage-y feel to your paper. I have owned this ink for a while now but only got started using it in the last couple of month! And now I can't get enough of it!!!
Step 6: With black ink ( I use Versafine) stamp repeatedly your Checker Plate Background on your paper.
Here you go! You have your own unique paper!!! Want to see how I used it? Her is how:

I love those bright colours!!! As you can see I used this same technique to create my pink/ orange paper but using the amazing Numbers Background Stamp BUT did you noticed I also used the same technique for my Brown patterned paper? I simply decided to use different shades of brown instead of brights and I stamped my design also in brown. I used Frayed Burlap and Brushed Curduroy for it. The stamp I used is the Vintage Fence Background.

I also used my favourite stamps of the moment: Grunge font Stamps. I know that they are some of your favourite too! I embossed them  with white embossing powder and to balance my page I added, still with white embossing powder, the Graffiti Background.
So there you go! I hope this Stamp Only Layout inspired you!!!
